Tee Box started with a simple idea: golf should still be easy to enjoy when the weather turns. After arriving at the course one day only for the rain to settle in, the thought came up — why doesn’t Dunedin have an indoor golf centre?
That idea became Tee Box: a space where beginners, keen golfers, and everyone in between can come to play, practise, improve, and enjoy the game in a premium indoor setting.
It’s not just about training either. Tee Box is also a place to have a round with friends, enjoy a bit of friendly competition, and make golf more social, more accessible, and more fun.

Tim Horton
Tim combines a passion for sport, innovation, and technology, and created Tee Box to make indoor golf more accessible in Dunedin. The original idea came after a rain-ruined plan for a round sparked the thought that the city needed an indoor golf centre.
Michael Booth
Originally from Auckland and studying business at Otago, Michael brings an entrepreneurial interest and a beginner-friendly perspective. He’s a great example of how Tee Box is built for everyone, not just lifelong golfers.
Louis Johnson
A postgraduate student in Exercise and Sport Science, Louis enjoys helping people get the most out of their experience while staying connected to the sporting world through Tee Box.
James Findlay
With a background in marketing and entrepreneurship, James looks after the marketing side of Tee Box and brings a strong mix of sport, content creation, and energy to the brand.
Bodhi Keiller
A Dunedin local and law student, Bodhi loves the active and social side of Tee Box and sees it as the perfect place for fresh golfers, seasoned players, and everyone in between.
Harvey O’Neill
Harvey studies sports development management and brings a real love of golf, the outdoors, and meeting new people. He’s a big believer in how useful Trackman can be for improving your game.
Thomas O’Connor
A civil engineering student with a passion for sport and people, Thomas enjoys the way Tee Box brings different people together and creates opportunities to connect through golf.
Josh Scott
Josh has grown up around golf and loves that Tee Box gives players a place to keep swinging when the Dunedin weather doesn’t cooperate. He’s just as happy helping beginners as he is talking golf with keen players.
